When Cod was King!

It felt so good to have my hook in hand over the weekend. This reminds of a time when cod was king in NL. My codfish is hiding in the seaweed and taking a rest. He has an accidental smile which was supposed to be his jawline. I will tweak this later but for now, the cod is smiling.

I have 4 more icons to complete and started the lower border with the word "Newfoundland". I am enjoying hooking so much, I have forgotten that I am back to the dayjob and busy.

  1. I love his smile. Looks almost like a sarcastic smirk that he hasn't been caught yet! What are the dimensions of each icon square? The one I am working on has 12x12 inch squares.

  3. Hi there! Hope you don't mind me leaving a comment after my brief visit to your blog. I found you through Not Plain Jane. I am very intrigued by your hooking addiction. The canvas's holes look so tiny--your hook must be very tiny too! Forgive me as I didn't go all the way back to the beginning of this project, but did you design this yourself? Beautiful! Love the moose! We have moose at our cabin back in Colorado but alas not here in New Jersey where we live now.

Loved what little I saw of your blog! I'll be back!
