My mother has been in Newfoundland visiting for the past few weeks and is heading back to her home today.
I have always been close to my mother and although, sometimes, we get on each other's nerves, we are very close. I am sad that we are so far apart and both too entrenched in our homes to change that.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree and in this case, the apple is still on the tree!
